Smoothie Operator

Aloha!
Summer is nearing and I can't wait! And in summer there is nothing I like better than a healthy fruit smoothie for breakfast, or for a little treat during the day. Here are my two favourite recipes for you to try out. Of course you don't have to stick to my recipe, you can change the fruit, flavour of the yoghurt etc to your preference. Enjoy!

 Summer fruits smoothie
For this smoothie you will need:
A generous pour of organic vanilla yoghurt
A splash of milk
A handful of strawberries
A handful of raspberries
A handful of blueberries
Whisk it all up until all fruit is blended, and finish will a little drizzle of honey on top

Blueberry and Banana smoothie
For this smoothie you will need:
A generous pour of organic vanilla yoghurt
a splash of milk
1 whole banana
A handful of blueberries
A squeeze of honey
A dash of cinnamon powder
Whisk (with an electric whisk as before) until all fruit is blended, then finish with a slice of banana on the side.

This was a very short post today but measurements of ingredients for these smoothies are a matter of preference, there is no right or wrong! I hope you enjoyed these recipes, comment below pictures of ones you have made, or perhaps new recipes for me to try out.

Beauty Haul

Aloha!
Recently I went shopping in my local town with some of my friends to take a break from revision. I wasn't expecting to buy much, however I managed to discover some little treats that I can't wait to try out! I hope this post gives you an insight into products you want to buy, or to encourage you to try them out. Enjoy!

1: Clearasil rapid action treatment cream
I didn't actually buy this when I went shopping with my friends, but I purchased a few days after and thought I'd include it. This product I used to use a long time ago, back when I was new to the whole teenage thang, and my skin became very blocked and spotty. Back then this cream worked wonders on my skin, and a few years down the line, I'm glad to say it still works! You apply this cream every night and morning (if you chose) and let it work it's magic! Seriously try this out if you need a little help getting rid of those pesky things.

2: Collection lasting perfection concealer (warm medium)
I currently use Rimmel London wake me up concealer, however so many people have been raving about this product, and have been for a long time. So when I was in town I thought 'why not try this out', just see what everyone was raving about. Oh good lord, this product is fabulous! Although the consistency is a little thicker compared to my other concealer, it creates amazing coverage- especially around the eyes. I find this product has left my under eye blemishes looking flawless. TRY THIS OUT!

 3: L'Oreal Paris super liner
I don't usually wear eye liner as those who know me will know. However this product was recommended by Tanya Burr (beauty youtuber). The nib of the applicator is so thin that it can create such a sleek line, that it leaves you eyes looking sexy and dramatic. The colour is pure black, and stays on your skin all day, as I find some eye liners rub away from your eyes during the day. But this has proved great so far.
Here's a link to Tanya's youtube channel, make sure you check her out, she's fab! https://www.youtube.com/user/pixi2woo/featured

 4: Maybelline 24hr colour tattoo (in pink-gold)
This product was picked out by a friend, who thought it would look great with a little pink dress a purchased for a special occasion. I have yet to try out this product, however I know it's going to be great! The eye shadow isn't powder, it's a light cream which is much easier to apply onto the lid or your eye. The shimmery pink is so subtle yet effective, that it could glam up any outfit. This could be worn simply on it's own, or could be blended with perhaps a silver.
Here's a link to my friends blog, post a comment on one of her posts and say 'Ella sent me'. http://www.bloglovin.com/frame?blog=11144385&group=0&frame_type=b&frame=1&click=0&user=0

5: Revlon colour burst lip butter (in tutti frutti)
A load of people have raved about these Revlon lip butters, and I thought it was about time I gave one a go. A chose a colour that I wouldn't usually go for, as I'm trying to vary my make-up collection. I thought this colour would go great with a black and white playsuit I recently purchased (which will feature in my summer look book, coming out soon). I tried this product a few days ago, and I must say, I can see why people raved about them. It glides so smoothly onto the lips, moisturising and tinting all at the same time, and lasts a very long time, so no need for re-application every hour.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any products you think I'd enjoy, or some that you really enjoy, post them down below, or links to you blog if you have reviewed them.

Let's de-stress!

Aloha! Yes I'm back but I just couldn't miss out on this opportunity to share my ideas of how to de-stress with you. My exams are coming up soon and I'm totally stressed out, so what I like to do every now and then, is to have a bit of 'me' time to relax and unwind. Now you don't have to use these steps just for exam stress, you can use them for anything you like. I think we all deserve a little time to ourselves, and so here my tips on how to de-stress, enjoy!

Step 1:
First you want to get rid of all your make-up using your usual daily skincare routine. This is to let your skin breathe, as having make-up on everyday can block your pores and lead to spots. I use simple kind to eyes make-up remover wipes, and simple facial moisturiser to ensure my skin is fresh and clean.

Step 2:
Next run yourself a warm bath preferably with bubbles, or a bath bomb if you prefer. This will allow you to have some time to yourself to think collectively, or perhaps listen to some calming music. Having a warm relaxing bath will make you feel quite sleepy and relaxed, which is why it's perfect for this routine. You can wash your hair during this stage, however personally I don't because I don't like to wash my hair amongst the bath bomb or bubbles.

Step 3:
Next chose a body butter of your choice, my personal favourite is body butter from the body shop in either mango or tangerine. Moisturising your skin will keep it looking young and healthy and will stop it looking dry and tired. You should also get yourself a face mask to replenish you face. They're a wide variety of face masks, however I enjoy clay/mud masks the most as I feel they work best with my skin. Here I am using a cooling cucumber mask from superdrug, but you can use any mask of your choice.

Step 4:
Next you want to create a relaxed environment so turn off your lights, and either light some candles or some fairy lights like mine. By turning the lights down low, you are more likely to feel sleepy, and your mind is more likely to relax in this type of environment. If you have trouble sleeping, having the lights down low an hour before you go to bed will ease you into sleep as your mind is relaxed and clear of thoughts.

Step 5
Just before getting into the comfiest place ever (ie; your bed), make yourself a hot drink along with your favourite book. Currently I am reading Blood ties by Sophie Mckenzie- a thriller mystery. Reading a book will help relax your mind and will clear your head of any thoughts that might be worrying you. Reading a book before sleeping will take you away from reality, somewhere where you can immerse yourself into the book and not have to think of anything else, which will definitely help you get to sleep.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog on how to de-stress. I like to do it now and then just to help me focus and not get worried about my exams, and so I hope this helps you too. How do you de-stress? Leave comments below as I would like to try out new ways. Thank you.

Fab 5 beauty and skincare products.

Aloha, recently I've been trying out new make-up and skincare products and  revisiting those I used to use, and I've just been absolutely loving them. I hope this list will encourage you to use these products or help you decide whether they are suited to you or not. So here's my fab 5 beauty and skincare products, Enjoy!

1: Simple sensitive hydrating moisturiser.
I have recently just started using this brand and I'm totally in love with it. Before I used freederm moisturiser, but found it didn't keep my skin as moisturised as I had hoped for. However the simple moisturiser has done wonders for my skin, and left it feeling fresh and clean. And as an added bonus helps foundation spread evenly over the skin, leaving your face looking light and natural.

 2: Eco tools
Recently I treated myself to some eco tools, I've been looking for some decent make-up tools for a long time, and after reading reviews, just couldn't resist this buy. I must say I am extremely happy with this purchase, although a little pricey, they are definitely worth it. The softness makes blending make-up a whole lot easier, so I would definitely recommend these!

3: Maybelline BB cream (matte)
This was a complete sporadic buy, as I didn't read any reviews on this product. However this product rocks! On days when I don't want to wear full make-up or perhaps in warmer weather I don't want heavy make-up on my face, I know I can rely on this product to give me maximum coverage, and flawless looking skin but still feeling light, fresh and confident.

4: Benefit total moisturiser facial cream.
I currently only have a small pot of this facial cream because, I usually use it when travelling, or during the day if my skin is looking a little dry, I'll add a small amount of this moisturiser to replenish my skin and keep it looking fresh. I feel that I haven't got to know this product properly for me to use it as my main facial moisturiser, but I do know that it's great for correcting those little pesky dry patches throughout the day.

5: Benefit they're real.
Lastly this has got to be my favourite buy lately. For Christmas I received a small benefit mascara as part of a gift set, and instantly fell in love with it. It leaves your lashes looking full (but not clumpy), definitely worth the price. Don't be afraid when you see the price of this product as I can guarantee you'll love it. A must buy if you like to make a statement.

I hope you enjoy my fab 5 beauty and skin care  products, and I hope some of them have encouraged you to give them a go.

First time

Aloha!
I have recently joined the world of blogging as part of my summer bucket list. I'm starting it early to ensure my blog attracts readers and followers. I used to blog about myself, and all the opportunities I had, related to theatre arts. However I decided this year I will start a blog on fashion using my own photography; this will include brands of clothing, make-up, skin-care etc that I'm currently enjoying or that is "trending".

This is probably the most post ever, but I really hope you enjoy my future blogs as I do love a good chat. Anyway before I bore you all to death, thank you for taking the time to read this and ENJOY!
